After graduating from Georgia Tech, I played an engineer for a few years. Then my real career began when I switched to computer science. I was fortunate enough to start in the Computer Science Lab at Texas Instruments. Though I loved playing working on the Lisp machine, what really changed my life was an Apple Evangelist who converted me to a Macintosh Developer in 1987. My first project, HandOff, was a hit and prompted me to start my own company. After a few successes and a few consulting projects, I retired in 2001. I just started playing around with iPhone and will soon be releasing my first game.
I raised three children as a single father since my wife passed away in 1993. My kids are now 22 (twins) and 25. My son is serving in the Air Force in Germany, his twin sister is a manicurist and my older daughter is now a great influence on youngsters as an elementary school teacher.
I fill my time with hobbies, including photography, traveling, technology and politics; the latter taking perhaps more time than it should. Other parts of this site will be expanded in the near future. |
